RADIO FREQUENCY TECHNICIAN AND ENGINEER TRAINING

This is the hands-on training you cannot get anywhere else that teaches the students the practical applications of the test equipment and how to use and interpret the results.  If you work in any field of radio, whether broadcasting, microwave, aircraft, land mobile, cellular, PCS, Wireless LAN, LF, MF, HF, VHF, UHF, SHF, or any other field where radio is part of your job, you will greatly benefit from this series of courses.  There is NO other training comparable to this series of courses.

The notes are pre-printed, and the material has been carefully developed to include all of the major and minor items that you will use in the everyday encounters with real world equipment and situations.  You will be amazed at the improvement of efficiency of the participants of this series of classes.
 

I.  APPLICATIONS OF COMMUNICATIONS SERVICE MONITORS (1.5 DAYS)
This is a 12-hour course that covers the field of radio, and the advanced communications service monitor features such as the Motorola/GD 2001, 2200, 2400, 2600, 2670, 2590, IFR/Marconi/Areoflex 1000, 1100, 1200, 1500, 1600, 1900, 120A/B/C, 2955, 2975, HP/Agilent 8920, 8921, or Wavetek 3000, 3600, 4015, 4032, 4300 series service monitors.  (BYOSM**  [**Bring your own service monitor])  The main sections covered include:
 Basics of Radio
 Basics of Measurement
 Applications
 Peripheral Equipment such as Duplexers, Filters, and Antennas

II.  RF INTERFERENCE AND THE APPLICATIONS OF SPECTRUM ANALYZERS (0.5 DAY)
This is a 4-hour course that covers all aspects of RF interference including cures, and explains how to use spectrum analyzers.  The main sections include:
 Radio Fundamentals
 Radio Interference Fundamentals
Spectrum Analyzer Fundamentals
 Tracking Interference
 Solving Interference Problems
 RF Protection Devices
 Tracking Generators

III.  LINE SWEEP TESTING (1 DAY)
This is an 8-hour course that covers the concept of Line Sweep Testing, and how to use the Anritsu Site Master™ or Bird Site Analyzer™.  The main sections include:
 Fundamentals
 Testing Fundamentals
 Analyzer Operation
 Hands-on Testing
 Trace Interpretation
 Software Operation
 

Calculators are provided and the notes are pre-printed, so the student does not have to take time in writing notes.

Every student will gain knowledge and proficiency, no matter what their skill level was going into the series or individual classes.  In addition, the systems approach to troubleshooting is emphasized so that all parts of the system are considered in the installation, operation, and repair of systems and equipment.
